Latest Crowdstrike Update Causes Blue Screen Of Death On Microsoft Windows Multiple Users Affected

A CrowdStrike update is breaking computers running Windows causing them to crash and display the Blue Screen of Death. Multiple users have reported the issue on Reddit and other online forums.

According to The Register, the update is causing a "critical process died" error, which results in a Blue Screen of Death. The issue appears to be affecting Windows 10 and Windows 11 computers.

CrowdStrike has acknowledged the issue and is working on a fix. In the meantime, users are advised to uninstall the latest CrowdStrike update and rename the CrowdStrike folder in Safe Mode.

Microsoft Windows users worldwide including India, Australia, Germany, the United States, the UK and more are seeing a blue screen issue on their laptops.

If you are experiencing this issue, please follow these steps:

1. Click on See advanced repair options on the Blue Screen of Death screen.
2. Click on Troubleshoot.
3. Click on Advanced options.
4. Click on Command Prompt.
5. Type the following command and press Enter: "ren C:\Program Files\CrowdStrike C:\Program Files\CrowdStrike.old"
6. Restart your computer.

This will rename the CrowdStrike folder and prevent it from loading on startup. You should then be able to boot into Windows normally.
