Verstappen holds off Leclerc to win inaugural Miami GP

Max Verstappen held off a late charge from Charles Leclerc to win the inaugural Miami Grand Prix, with Carlos Sainz Jr. completing the podium. The race was closely fought throughout, with the top three drivers running nose-to-tail for much of the afternoon. Verstappen ultimately took the lead with just a few laps to go, and he was able to hold on for the victory. This was Verstappen's third win of the season, and it moves him into the lead of the championship standings.
Leclerc had led the race for much of the afternoon, but he was unable to match Verstappen's pace in the closing laps. The Monegasque driver finished second, ahead of his Ferrari teammate Sainz. Sainz had a strong race, and he was able to hold off Sergio Perez for the final podium position.
Perez finished fourth, ahead of George Russell in fifth. Lewis Hamilton had a disappointing race, finishing sixth. The seven-time world champion was never really in contention for the win, and he was unable to make up for a poor start.
The Miami Grand Prix was a great success, and it is sure to become a regular fixture on the Formula 1 calendar. The race was well-attended, and the fans were treated to a thrilling afternoon of racing. Verstappen's victory was a popular one, and it will give him a boost of confidence as he heads into the rest of the season.
